万能，万不能

高中时代，我请教过当时我的班主任，说：虽然我读了理科，能不能报考中文系，答案是不可，国家不准。
老师随后告诉我：中文系是万能的，到哪里都能找个工作不假，但是万能的往往同时又是万万不能的。
在我工作接近一年的时候曾经听朋友和父亲谈起，关于我的前途，朋友说：你爹很了解你，他有点担心，你的天资过于宽泛，或许这会让你很多年都集中不到一个目标上去，反被耽误了。
听罢，顿觉父亲更加伟岸。
- 在其后工作的时间，时常想起父亲给朋友议论的这番话，它无时不刻地提醒了我：不要去贪多，把自己当做一棵树，根系可以很发达，不轻易暴露出土壤、低调地生活在地下，多方吸收营养，而树干则不胡乱地发展，以防藤枝随意蔓延。
也因此，在中国东北的一个小城我过了2年的陶渊明式的深入简出的生活……等再回首时，不是两年，是掘了2年之深的一个深度，感谢不已。
